Walsh exhibit to showcase “Inferno” art

Copies of Italian artist Amos Nattini’s 34 lithographic prints based on Dante Alighieri’s “Inferno,” will be the centerpiece of “Variations of Dante’s Inferno,” a 10-week event at Walsh University Sept. 3 through Nov. 5 at the Birk Center for the Arts.

Submitted art Dante’s “Inferno” voices the Italian poet’s criticism of the political and the ruling class and “the sin of the intellect.” It’s detailed in such scenes as the Tomb of the Heretics.
